BetVictor is AGLC-registered and live in Alberta's regulated market, which opened on July 13, 2026. It appears in the Alberta iGaming Corporation's approved-sites directory as "BetVictor Sportsbook & Casino", pointing to the operator's Canadian site at betvictor.com/en-ca, and the entity carrying the Alberta registration is BV (Canada) Ltd.

This review is shorter than my reviews of operators whose product I can inspect end to end, and that is deliberate. Every request to betvictor.com from where I work is refused at the operator's edge, so nothing on the Alberta-facing product — deposit methods, withdrawal times, support hours, market depth — can be checked from outside the jurisdictions it serves. What I can verify is the regulatory record: BetVictor's standing in Alberta, and the licensed history behind the brand in the United Kingdom and in Ontario. That is documented below with sources and dates. The rest is recorded as unverified rather than filled with plausible-sounding detail.

Regulatory status in Alberta

BetVictor's Alberta registration sits with BV (Canada) Ltd., which carries the class iGaming - Operator in AGLC's gaming-registrants database, with a registration expiry of July 13, 2027 (row identical in every archived export since 2026-07-14). My registry row records the stream as Both. That is my own classification of the products the brand advertises publicly. AGLC lists every entry under the single class iGaming - Operator and says nothing about sportsbook or casino. AGLC's database renders the entity as "Ltd." where the earlier PDF used "Limited"; that is the spelling variance I logged on 2026-07-15, not two different companies.

The live layer is separate. BetVictor holds a card in the AiGC approved-sites directory — the Alberta iGaming Corporation's own list of operators cleared to take Alberta play — titled "BetVictor Sportsbook & Casino" and pointing to betvictor.com/en-ca. I first noted it in my log on 2026-07-14, and it has been present in every archived directory snapshot since 2026-07-23.

Registration and live status are two separate things on this site, and BetVictor clears both.

Products and markets

The AGLC registration and the AiGC directory card both cover sportsbook and casino, so both verticals are in scope for Alberta players. Beyond that classification I have no independently verified detail on the Alberta product's market depth — which leagues carry player props, how deep live betting runs, whether Canadian junior hockey is priced — so I make no claims about it here. When that detail is verifiable, it goes in this section with the date it was checked.

Platform and app

I could not inspect the platform. The block described in the next section covers BetVictor's whole site, so not even the operator's own published Alberta material could be read from here. I have not been able to open the product from outside Alberta, so this review makes no claims about the platform itself. What follows is quoted from the operator's two Canadian store listings, archived 2026-09-19. The App Store lists BetVictor Sports Bet & Casino by BV Gaming Limited, version 16.12 released 2026-08-24, rated 4.7 from 4,460 ratings; the listing says the operator welcomes players from Ontario and Alberta, so one app serves both provinces. Google Play lists the same brand under a separate package, rated 2.5 from 401 ratings, updated 2026-08-28. Both figures are the listings' own counters at the moment of capture and move daily.

What is documentable is the licensed record behind the brand, and it is the reason BetVictor is rated where it is rather than at the floor for operators I cannot inspect:

• United Kingdom. The Gambling Commission's public register lists BV Gaming Limited, account number 39576, holding five active remote licences under combined remote operating licence 039576-R-319370-028: Casino and both General Betting Standard licences (Real Event and Virtual Event) effective 1 November 2014, Gambling Software from 24 March 2015, and Bingo from 31 March 2021. "betvictor" is an active trading name on that account, and the registered head office is in Gibraltar. That is a regulated operating history in two other jurisdictions, verified in both regulators' own registers. It is not evidence about the Alberta product, and I do not treat it as such.

Payments and support

Not verified. Observed 2026-08-02 and again 2026-09-19, when /en-ca/, the root and the manifest returned one byte-identical CloudFront 403 carrying the prohibited-location notice (archived). Every attempt was answered with a page that reads: "It appears you are accessing our website from a prohibited location. Local regulations prohibit us from allowing you to log in or place bets on our website." The block covers the whole site rather than just its Canadian section, so minimum deposit, payment methods, withdrawal processing time and support hours cannot be confirmed here. The quick-facts box records them as unverified rather than carrying figures copied from BetVictor's international pages, which are not necessarily the Alberta terms.

Corporate background

Three entity names are documented, each in a regulator's own record: BV (Canada) Ltd. holds the AGLC registration; BV (Canada) Limited is the operator named in iGaming Ontario's directory; BV Gaming Limited, registered office in Gibraltar, is the UK licensee whose active trading names include "betvictor". Those are the sourced facts.

No public filing I have checked establishes what sits above them, so the ultimate-parent column of my registry dataset is empty for BetVictor and stays empty. That column records corporate ownership I can cite, not corporate ownership I can infer from a shared name. The group's own site describes itself as privately held and names no owner. Its copyright line reads Newcote International Limited, which is a footer, not a filing, so the ultimate-parent column stays empty.

My verdict

My ★ score is an editorial judgement, not a calculation.
