Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information AlbertaBookies collects, why we collect it, who processes it, and the rights you have over it. It is written to comply with Canada’s PIPEDA and Alberta’s PIPA, and — because some operators we cover serve EU residents — the GDPR.

AlbertaBookies is an independent editorial site operated by Aleksandr Vakoliuk. We are not a sportsbook, we do not take bets, and we do not provide accounts. We collect as little personal data as possible.

Who we are

What we collect

We do not run signup, subscription, or “launch alert” forms, and we do not collect email addresses or other contact details from visitors.

The one-time launch-notification form was retired in July 2026 when the market opened. Over its lifetime the form received only the site owner’s own deployment-test submissions; no subscriber data from users was ever collected or emailed.

Automatically collected data

Our hosting and CDN (nginx + Cloudflare) process standard server logs (IP address, browser user-agent, requested URL, timestamp) for security and to keep the site online. These logs are not used to build advertising profiles. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Our email for info@albertabookies.com is delivered via Cloudflare Email Routing.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA / PIPA (Canada) and the GDPR (EU) you may, at any time:

  • Withdraw consent / unsubscribe — reply STOP to any email from us, or email info@albertabookies.com.
  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.

To exercise any of these, email info@albertabookies.com. We respond to every request ourselves, normally within one business day.

Cookies

AlbertaBookies does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Any cookies present are strictly functional (e.g. remembering your light/dark theme preference) and are stored only in your own browser.

Children

This site and the regulated products it covers are for adults only (18+ in Alberta). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Affiliate disclosure

Some outbound links to sportsbooks may be affiliate links once Alberta’s market launches. This does not change what we collect about you, and — per AGLC rules — we do not advertise bonuses, promo codes, or sign-up offers to Alberta residents.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date above.
